Rolled by this place on my way to San Diego and there is literally nothing around! Not wanting McDonalds, tried this little gem out. Lost confidence as we drove up to it but reGained confidence when we read other Yelp reviews. Had an array of yumminess- beef taco roll ups, nachos, carnitas taco. Staff was friendly, place was clean, food was awesome! They have a drive thru if you don't want to dine in or a patio to eat in the sun. Will definitely go back!

Fish tacos. Surprisingly good. Small cute place inside. Drive through if you are in a hurry. Try a horchata. I have also tried the carne Assad. Not greasy. So delicious. Everything is made to order so it takes some time.

On our drive back to San Diego from Tucson, we needed to stop for gas and food. Being in the middle of no where, we were lucky to stumbled upon this spot. I got a egg, bean, cheese, and bacon burrito and was quite impressed. My mom got a Pollo Asada taco and it looked really good. The place was legit, clean inside and the staff was friendly. I thought the food was delicious and I wish the place was closer so I could explore the menu more. I would recommend to anyone in the area.

It's just another Filibertos. Cheap food, cheap price. It's great for a late night snack or when you're really hungry.

We needed some grub on the way to Tuscon, and although we originally planned to stop later in the drive, our stomachs cried louder than our heads. Needless to say we Yelped for a good place to eat. This came up as a top pick for the town. Please keep in mind I'm a) fussy about Mexican food, b) don't eat it if other choices are available, and c) rarely if ever eat refried beans. I ordered the Wednesday special, which was the carne asada with rice and beans. This place got 5 stars because I ate it voraciously, the beans were delicious (not salty at all), the carne asada and hortchata were legit, it was clean inside and out, and the cashier was both professional and friendly. Did I mention it was a bargain? A huge win for our stomachs, tastebuds and wallet.

I was there for dinner and breakfast. Very warm welcome. Very good food and inexpensive. Much better than Subway and they have free Wi Fi. At the 10 frwy and only 2 miles from the 8 frwy

After leaving the Space Joint nearby still hungry, we ate here. I admit, I didn't like my beef enchiladas because they used shredded beef instead of ground beef and ultimately I didn't eat them. However, the service was great and the food quality was outstanding. Thankfully, my girlfriend shared half of her Ginormous Shrimp Burrito- it was deliciousness wrapped in a tortilla.

Nice little place to stop and grab some food in gila bend. Has the usual Mexican food menu you might expect from a drive thru style business. I had a carne asada burrito that was freshly made and taste great. If by any chance you find yourself out in these woods I would make the stop! Lol

We wanted to skip a day of doing touristy things around Phoenix so went out to explore the desert. A group of 9 of us -- all typically a country club crowd, but not opposed to trying things off the beaten path -- descended on Humberto's for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and authentic, and came out relatively quickly. The man working the counter was very nice and even came out to wipe down one of our tables for us because it was a little sticky. The only reason I knocked a star off was the texture on my uncle's cabeza burrito (beef cheeks) was a little rubbery -- not as tender as he would have liked -- and the bathrooms leave a little to be desired. Still, don't be scared of this place if you're passing through Gila Bend. Treat yourself to some delicious, authentic Mexican food.

Get anything Carne Asada! Big portions and great price. I was forced to kill my girlfriends leftovers and then her daughters too!

This place was not our first choice, but we could not find the other Mexican spot. We found the food bland, the salsa was probably canned, the beans appeared to be also. My husband found the tiny, flimsy plastic forks hard to use. The horchata was too sweet for my taste. Seemed pricey for the setting, the plastic. Can not recommend.

What a great place to eat. The burrtios are huge and the carne asada is so tastey!. Angel the manager is a great cook and a very polite guy. I always walk out happy with a full tummy. If you want to eat real good Mexican food, stop by at humbertos you will be very happy!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
